...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a Dense Fog
Advisory, which is in effect until 9 AM EDT this morning.

* LOCATIONS...Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Erie, Genesee, and
  Wyoming counties.

* TIMING...Through mid morning.

* VISIBILITIES...Will be reduced to under a quarter mile in many
areas...with some areas in the open country and close to the
lakes experiencing near zero visibility at times.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be slowed through the region...both on
area highways where reduced visibility will require lower speeds
and at area airports where flights will be delayed or possibly
canceled. Those with air travel plans through Buffalo, Niagara
Falls or Rochester should consult the airports or travel
  websites for additional information.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Dense Fog Advisory is issued when dense fog will substantially
reduce visibilities, resulting in hazardous driving conditions in
some areas. Motorists are advised to use caution and slow down,
as objects on and near roadways will be seen only at close range.
Stay tuned to weather radio or other radio and tv stations for
further details or updates.
