WATERS OF LAKE ERIE...

THE AREAS AFFECTED INCLUDE...
NEARSHORE AND OPEN WATERS FROM VERMILION OH TO CONNEAUT OH...

AT 445 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS...CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS UP TO 40 KNOTS. THESE
THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED NEAR DETROIT EXTENDING SOUTH INTO
NORTHWESTERN OHIO...MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 35 KNOTS. AREAS IN THE PATH
OF THIS LINE OF STORMS INCLUDE VERMILION...CLEVELAND...AND MENTOR.
THE STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO REACH THE WARNED AREA BETWEEN 630 PM AND
830 PM. BOATERS SHOULD CONSIDER HEADING FOR SHORE BEFORE THESE
STORMS ARRIVE.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

THIS LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY PRODUCE WINDS IN EXCESS
OF 34 KNOTS...AND IS LIKELY TO POSE A SERIOUS HAZARD FOR BOATERS. A
SPECIAL MARINE WARNING WILL LIKELY BE REQUIRED WHEN THESE STORMS
REACH THE NEARSHORE WATERS. BOATERS SHOULD CONSIDER HEADING FOR SHORE
BEFORE THESE STORMS ARRIVE.
