URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...BITTERLY COLD AIR AND LAKE EFFECT SNOW IS EXPECTED...

.AN ARCTIC COLD FRONT WILL DROP ACROSS THE REGION LATER TODAY.
BEHIND THE FRONT...WINDS WILL TURN NORTHWEST AND BECOME GUSTY AS
TEMPERATURES BEGIN TO FALL. LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL QUICKLY
DEVELOP LATE TODAY AND CONTINUE THROUGH SATURDAY AS THE COLD AIR
MOVES OVER THE WARMER WATERS OF LAKE ERIE. MOISTURE FROM LAKE
HURON COULD ALSO ENHANCE THE SNOW SHOWERS AND LEAD TO SOME
INTENSE BANDS OF SNOW TONIGHT. INTERSTATES 90 AND 79 WILL LIKELY
BE IMPACTED BY SNOW SQUALLS. IN ADDITION DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS
WILL OCCUR TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.

* ACCUMULATIONS...WHILE THERE WILL BE A LOT OF VARIABILITY IN
  SNOWFALL AMOUNTS...6 TO 8 INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED TONIGHT
  WHERE THE STRONGER BANDS SET UP. AN ADDITIONAL 3 TO 6 INCHES IS
  POSSIBLE ON SATURDAY. A FEW LOCATIONS COULD SEE A TOTAL OF 15
  INCHES OR MORE OF SNOW BY SATURDAY EVENING.

* TIMING...A BURST OF SNOW WILL ACCOMPANY THE PASSAGE OF A COLD
  FRONT THIS EVENING. LAKE EFFECT SNOW BANDS WILL DEVELOP BEHIND
  THE FRONT AND BE HEAVY AT TIMES TONIGHT. THE SNOW WILL CONTINUE
  INTO SATURDAY BEFORE GRADUALLY DIMINISHING SATURDAY NIGHT.

* WIND CHILL...WIND CHILLS WILL DIP BELOW MINUS 10 THIS EVENING
  AND COULD GET AS LOW AS MINUS 20 AT TIMES LATE TONIGHT.
  DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS WILL REMAIN IN THE AREA THROUGH SUNDAY
  MORNING.

* IMPACTS...SNOW COVERED ROADS AND REDUCED VISIBILITY DURING
  HEAVIER SNOW SHOWERS AND SQUALLS. DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS CAN
  RESULT IN FROSTBITE OR HYPOTHERMIA IN JUST A FEW MINUTES.
  FRIGID TEMPERATURES COULD FREEZE WATER PIPES.
