SNOW TO THE REGION FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY...

.A BITTERLY COLD AIRMASS WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION FRIDAY
AFTERNOON WITH NORTHWEST FLOW DEVELOPING. THE WIND AND
TEMPERATURE COMBINATION WILL SUPPORT SOME LAKE EFFECT SNOW WITH
SOME PERIODS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW.

EFFECT SNOW WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING. THE LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING HAS BEEN
CANCELLED.

* ACCUMULATIONS...STORM TOTAL SNOW AMOUNTS OF 8 TO 12 INCHES ARE
  POSSIBLE WITH THE HIGHEST ACCUMULATIONS FRIDAY NIGHT.

* TIMING...LAKE EFFECT SNOW BANDS WILL BEGIN FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND
  BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES FRIDAY NIGHT. THE SNOW WILL CONTINUE INTO
  SATURDAY BEFORE GRADUALLY DIMINISHING SATURDAY NIGHT.

* IMPACTS...SNOW COVERED ROADS AND REDUCED VISIBILITY DURING
  HEAVIER SNOW SHOWERS AND SQUALLS.

* WINDS...NORTH WEST 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH.

* TEMPERATURES...SINGLE DIGIT TEMPERATURES COMBINED WITH WIND WILL
  PRODUCE WIND CHILL VALUES BELOW ZERO.
