COUNTIES UNTIL 800 PM EDT...

AT 419 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ALONG AND EAST OF A LINE FROM
PORT HURON TO WARREN...ROMULUS...AND DUNDEE...MOVING EAST AT
40 MPH.

THIS INITIAL AREA OF RAIN WILL MOVE EAST OF THE ADVISORY AREA
BETWEEN 430 AND 500 PM...THEN AFTER A SHORT BREAK WILL BE FOLLOWED
BY ANOTHER ROUND OF SHOWERS AND STORMS FROM NORTHERN INDIANA AFTER
500 PM THROUGH ABOUT 800 PM.

SPOTTER REPORTS AND DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES INDICATE RAINFALL TOTALS
AVERAGING 1.5 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS NEAR 2 INCHES
OCCURRING BETWEEN NOON AND 400 PM. THE NEXT ROUND OF ACTIVITY WILL
BE CAPABLE OF SIMILAR TOTALS OVER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME...POSSIBLE
1 HOUR OR LESS.

RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING TO
OCCUR WITHIN SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...ROAD UNDERPASSES...AND OTHER
AREAS PRONE TO PONDING OF WATER.
