AT 406 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS...CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING STRONG WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS OVER THE AMBASSADOR
BRIDGE...MOVING EAST AT 25 KNOTS.

AN AREA OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH WINDS NEAR 60KT WAS NEAR HOWELL
AT 410 PM AND MOVING EAST AT 35 KT. A SPECIAL MARINE STATEMENT WILL
LIKELY BE NEEDED IN THE NEXT HOUR.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES... AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD CONSIDER SEEKING SAFE
HARBOR UNTIL THIS STORM PASSES.

MARINERS CAN EXPECT STRONG GUSTY WINDS IN EXCESS OF 34 KNOTS...AND IS
LIKELY TO POSE A SERIOUS HAZARD FOR BOATERS. A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING
WILL LIKELY BE REQUIRED WHEN THIS STORM MOVES ACROSS THE NEARSHORE
WATERS. BOATERS ARE URGED TO HEAD FOR SHORE BEFORE THE STORM ARRIVES.
