...HEAVY RAINFALL DURING AFTERNOON PEAK TRAVEL PERIOD...

At 517 PM, widespread showers with clusters of strong thunderstorms
where indicated over much of Washtenaw, Wayne, northern Lenawee, and
northern Monroe counties. Movement is east at 30 mph.

Heavy downpours are expected to produce low visibility for motorists
along with ponding of water on roads and prone areas.

Stronger thunderstorms will also be capable of 30 mph wind gusts and
pea size hail.

Locations impacted include...
Ann Arbor, Livonia, Taylor, Romulus, Adrian, Monroe, Ypsilanti, Flat
Rock, Saline, Tecumseh, Milan, Grosse Pointe, Chelsea, Dexter,
Dundee, Blissfield, Carleton, Morenci, Manchester and Downtown
Detroit.

Torrential rainfall is occurring and may cause localized flooding.
Extra caution is required for afternoon travel.
