...A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR OAKLAND...LIVINGSTON
AND MACOMB COUNTIES THROUGH 4 AM...

WEATHER...

 * SNOW SQUALLS WILL IMPACT LIVINGSTON...OAKLAND AND MACOMB
   COUNTIES DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. AS OF 1145 PM THE SNOW
   SQUALLS WERE MAINLY LIMITED TO THE SOUTHERN PORTION OF THE
   COUNTIES...SOUTH OF M-59.

 * WIDELY VARYING SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED. IN THE SNOW SQUALLS
   SNOWFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES IN AN HOUR IS EXPECTED BEFORE
   THE SNOW SQUALL MOVES OFF TO THE EAST.

 * WEST WINDS AROUND 10 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 20 MPH WILL CAUSE
   BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF THE SNOW.

 * AIR TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE BETWEEN 24 AND 27 DEGREES.

IMPACTS...

 * VISIBILITIES WILL BE NEAR ZERO AT TIMES DUE TO HEAVY SNOW
   SQUALLS. RAPID FLUCTUATIONS OF VISIBILITY WILL OCCUR.

 * ACCUMULATING SNOW MAY LEAD TO SLIPPERY ROADS PARTICULARLY ON
   BRIDGES...EXIT RAMPS...AND OVERPASSES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

 * THE COMBINATION OF HEAVY SNOW AND STRONG WINDS WILL RESULT IN
   LOCALIZED WHITEOUT CONDITIONS. REDUCED VISIBILITIES ALONG
   WITH SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY ROADS WILL CAUSE VARIABLE
   TRAFFIC RATES THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY. MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO
   USE CAUTION AND ACCOUNT FOR THE VARIABLE DRIVING CONDITIONS
   BY ALLOWING EXTRA TIME.
