...HEAVY SNOW SHOWERS DURING THE EVENING...

WEATHER...

 * Bands of heavy snow showers along a strong cold front will move
through the region during the evening. Activity is expected to
enter northwest Midland county between 730 PM and 800 PM...and
reach a line from Bad Axe to Caro to Owosso around 900 PM.

 * A second area of mixed rain and snow showers will move along
the I-69 corridor between 800 PM and 1000 PM.

 * A rumble of thunder is possible as the front moves through the
   region.

 * The wind will shift to northwest and gust around 30 mph within
the heavier precipitation and behind the front.

IMPACTS...

 * Warm temperatures during the late afternoon and early evening
ahead of the front will limit snow accumulation to a coating on
   unpaved surfaces.

 * Low visibility and wet roads will be the main concern for
   motorists.

&&

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

 * Reduced visibilities along with wet roads will cause variable
traffic rates throughout the region. Motorists are urged to
use caution and account for the variable driving conditions by
slowing down and allowing extra time.
