...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT...

At 349 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm over
Belleville, or near Canton, moving east at 45 mph.

Half inch hail and winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with
this storm.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Romulus around 400 PM EDT.
  Taylor around 405 PM EDT.
  Dearborn and Wyandotte around 415 PM EDT.
  Downtown Detroit and Detroit around 420 PM EDT.
  Grosse Pointe around 430 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this storm include Melvindale, New
Boston, Harper Woods, Westland, Grosse Pointe Shores, Ecorse, Grosse
Pointe Woods, Lincoln Park, Grosse Pointe Park and Southgate.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

southeastern Michigan.
