...WIDESPREAD SNOW WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES DURING THE NIGHT...

WEATHER...

 * SNOW WILL IMPACT ALL OF SOUTHEASTERN MICHIGAN DURING THE
   NIGHT...AND MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES.

 * SNOW ACCUMULATION AROUND 1 INCH IS EXPECTED OVER THE ENTIRE
   AREA BETWEEN 1 AM AND 5 AM. LOCAL AMOUNTS BETWEEN 2 AND 3
   INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE MAINLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM
   PORT HURON TO HOWELL.

 * WIND WILL BE NORTHWEST AROUND 15 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 25 MPH.

 * AIR TEMPERATURES WILL FALL THROUGH THE RANGE OF 25 TO 30
   DEGREES.

IMPACTS...

 * ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL LEAD TO SLIPPERY CONDITIONS ON
   BRIDGES...RAMPS...AND OVERPASSES WHICH WILL BE FIRST TO
   ACCUMULATE SNOW AS TEMPERATURES FALL. A SLUSHY COATING IS
   EXPECTED ON OTHER PAVED SURFACES.

 * VISIBILITY WILL BE REDUCED TO BETWEEN ONE QUARTER AND ONE HALF
   MILE IN THE HEAVIEST SNOW...WHICH WILL MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT
   AT NIGHT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

 * THE COMBINATION OF SNOW AND COLD TEMPERATURES WILL RESULT IN
   SLIPPERY CONDITIONS. MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO USE CAUTION AND
   ACCOUNT FOR THE VARIABLE DRIVING CONDITIONS BY SLOWING DOWN AND
   ALLOWING EXTRA TIME.
