THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DETROIT/PONTIAC HAS CANCELLED THE
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * ISOLATED TO SCATTERED LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE TO TRACK
   THROUGH THE AREA OVERNIGHT.

 * INTENSE LAKE EFFECT SNOW SQUALLS HAVE MOVES SOUTH.

IMPACTS...

 * VERY HEAVY SNOW SQUALLS BROUGHT ONE TO FIVE INCHES OF SNOW TO
   SOME LOCATIONS IN A FEW HOURS TIME.

 * VISIBILITIES WERE REDUCED TO ONE QUARTER OF A MILE OR LESS IN
   THE MOST INTENSE SNOW SHOWERS.

EVENING...

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * OCCASIONAL BANDS OF HEAVY SNOW WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE EARLY
   EVENING. ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE AN INCH OR
   LESS. THIS WILL BRING TOTAL SNOWFALL SINCE 8 AM THIS MORNING
   FROM JUST UNDER AN INCH TO POSSIBLY AS MUCH AS 5 INCHES IN A
   FEW LOCALIZED AREAS.

 * WESTERLY WINDS GUSTING BETWEEN 25 AND 30 MPH WILL LEAD TO
   CONSIDERABLE BLOWING OF THE SNOW AND SOME MINOR DRIFTING.

 * VISIBILITIES WITHIN THE HEAVIEST SNOW SHOWERS WILL BE LESS
   THAN A QUARTER MILE AT TIMES.

 * RAPIDLY FLUCTUATING VISIBILITIES DOWN TO NEAR ZERO AT TIMES.
