...WIDESPREAD HEAVY RAINFALL IS EXPECTED THURSDAY AFTERNOON INTO
FRIDAY MORNING...

A WIDESPREAD 1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER
AMOUNTS...IS EXPECTED BETWEEN THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND FRIDAY
MORNING. A ROUND OF SHOWERS AND SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE
INTO THE REGION THURSDAY AFTERNOON...AND CONTINUE ACROSS THE AREA
THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING. THE RAIN IS EXPECTED TO BE
HEAVY AT TIMES THURSDAY NIGHT.

MANY RIVERS ACROSS CENTRAL THROUGH NORTHEAST WISCONSIN ARE
AT OR SLIGHTLY ABOVE NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR DUE TO WET
CONDITIONS OVER THE PAST MONTH. THE HEAVY RAIN IS EXPECTED TO
CAUSE RIVER LEVELS TO RISE TO OR ABOVE FLOOD STAGE AT SOME
LOCATIONS. RESIDENTS LIVING NEAR RIVERS SHOULD CLOSELY MONITOR THE
LATEST WATER LEVELS.

THE HEAVY RAIN MAY ALSO CAUSE URBAN FLOODING AND PONDING OF WATER
ON AREA ROADWAYS. MOTORISTS SHOULD SLOW DOWN IF THEY ENCOUNTER
HEAVY RAIN OR WATER ON THE ROADS...AND SHOULD NEVER ATTEMPT TO
DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED AREAS.
