HYDROLOGIC OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GREEN BAY WI
1039 AM CDT THU AUG 28 2014

...HEAVY RAINFALL AND POSSIBLE FLOODING TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY...

A WARM FRONT WILL LIFT NORTH TOWARD THE WESTERN GREAT LAKES REGION
LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...AND BRING A VERY MOIST AIR MASS
BACK INTO CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST WISCONSIN. THE FIRST ROUND OF RAIN
AND EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WILL ARRIVE IN CENTRAL WISCONSIN LATE
THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING...AND SPREAD ACROSS NORTHEAST WISCONSIN
TONIGHT INTO EARLY FRIDAY. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE
EXPECTED BY FRIDAY MORNING.

ADDITIONAL ROUNDS OF THUNDERSTORMS AND HEAVY RAINFALL WILL LIKELY
OCCUR FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SATURDAY...AS A SLOW MOVING
SURFACE LOW AND COLD FRONT CROSSES THE REGION. ADDITIONAL
RAINFALL OF 1 TO 2 INCHES IS ANTICIPATED...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER
AMOUNTS.

THE ANTICIPATED RAINFALL WILL CAUSE AREA RIVERS AND STREAMS TO
RISE THROUGH THE WEEKEND. LOCALLY HEAVIER RAINFALL AMOUNTS MAY
LEAD TO FLOODING OF URBAN AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS. LISTEN TO NOAA
WEATHER RADIO OR LOCAL MEDIA SOURCES FOR THE LATEST UPDATES ON
THE HEAVY RAINFALL AND FLOODING POTENTIAL.
