HYDROLOGIC OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GREEN BAY WI
256 PM CDT TUE MAR 15 2016

...RAINFALL LIKELY TO CAUSE RISES IN RIVER LEVELS...AND POSSIBLY
SOME FLOODING...LATER THIS WEEK...

A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA TONIGHT AND THEN
LINGER ACROSS THE AREA UNTIL LATE IN THE WEEK. THE STORM WILL
BRING A WIDESPREAD SOAKING RAIN TONIGHT. LIGHTER PRECIPITATION
WILL LINGER WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY...WITH THE ARRIVAL OF COLDER
AIR GRADUALLY CAUSING THE PRECIPITATION TO CHANGE TO SNOW DURING
THAT TIME.

A TOTAL RAINFALL RANGING FROM ONE TO TWO INCHES IS EXPECTED WITH
THE STORM...WITH THE HIGHEST TOTALS OCCURRING IN CENTRAL AND
NORTH-CENTRAL WISCONSIN. ALTHOUGH MOST OF THE SNOW PACK ACROSS THE
AREA HAS MELTED...SOME OF THAT WATER WAS STILL WORKING IT/S WAY
THROUGH RIVER SYSTEMS. THE EXPECTED RAINFALL WILL CAUSE RIVERS TO
RISE. SOME RIVERS COULD REACH FLOOD STAGE...ESPECIALLY IN CENTRAL
WISCONSIN.

ANYONE LIVING NEAR A RIVER OR STREAM SHOULD CLOSELY MONITOR LATER
FORECASTS AND STATEMENTS ON THE POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING.
