...PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN SUNDAY INTO TUESDAY...

A warm front lifting north across the Great Lakes region this
weekend will allow a very warm and moist air mass to pour into the
area. This moist air mass will interact with a series of frontal
boundaries late tonight through Sunday night and even into the
new work week. Periods of heavy rainfall is likely with a widespread
1 to 3 inches across the north half of the state Sunday into
Tuesday. This includes much of northern Wisconsin and parts of
central Wisconsin. Locally higher amounts will be possible with
thunderstorms training along a frontal boundary.

Areas which receive heavy rainfall Sunday and Sunday night may be
prone to flash flooding early next week if additional storms
occur over the saturated ground.

River levels are currently below bank full but still running above
normal. If the widespread heavy rainfall verifies, river stage
heights and flows will be on the increase by early in the new work
week.
