HYDROLOGIC OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GREEN BAY WI
240 PM CDT MON OCT 13 2014

...HEAVY RAIN EXPECTED TONIGHT...

A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM APPROACHING FROM CENTRAL MISSOURI
WILL BRING A SWATH OF HEAVY RAINFALL TO MUCH OF CENTRAL...NORTHEAST
AND EAST CENTRAL WISCONSIN TONIGHT. THE MORE STEADY RAINS WILL
BEGIN TO ARRIVE LATE THIS AFTERNOON OVER PARTS OF CENTRAL AND EAST
CENTRAL WISCONSIN AND THEN SPREAD INTO NORTHERN WISCONSIN EARLY THIS
EVENING. MOST PLACES WILL SEE RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES...WITH
LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS ANTICIPATED IN THE FOX VALLEY AND LAKESHORE
AREAS. ALTHOUGH RAIN WILL CONTINUE INTO TUESDAY...RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL
BE RELATIVELY LIGHT COMPARED TO RAINFALL TOTALS EXPECTED TONIGHT.

THE RUNOFF FROM THE HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE AREA RIVERS AND
STREAMS TO RISE...HOWEVER RIVER FLOODING IS NOT ANTICIPATED DUE
TO THE RECENT DRY CONDITIONS. THERE IS POTENTIAL FOR URBAN
FLOODING IF STORM DRAINS GET CLOGGED BY FALLEN LEAVES. PUBLIC
WORKS DEPARTMENTS ARE URGED TO CLEAR LEAVES FROM STORM DRAINS
BEFORE THE HEAVY RAINFALL ARRIVES THIS EVENING.
