HYDROLOGIC OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GREEN BAY WI
335 AM CDT SAT MAR 29 2014

...COMBINATION OF SNOW MELT AND RAINFALL LIKELY TO CAUSE AREA
RIVERS TO RISE EARLY NEXT WEEK...

WARMER TEMPERATURES ARE FORECAST TO OVERSPREAD NORTHEAST WISCONSIN
EARLY NEXT WEEK AHEAD OF A STORM SYSTEM EXPECTED TO MOVE FROM
NEBRASKA TO NORTHERN WISCONSIN MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY. THE
COMBINATION OF WARM TEMPERATURES AND RAINFALL FROM THE STORM WILL
RESULT IN SOME MELTING OF THE REMAINING SNOW PACK IN NORTHERN
WISCONSIN. SINCE THE GROUND UNDERNEATH THE SNOW WILL REMAIN
FROZEN...THE RUNOFF WILL FLOW INTO STREAMS AND RIVERS...MOST OF
WHICH STILL WERE ICE-COVERED. THIS COMBINATION OF EVENTS WILL RESULT
IN AN INCREASED POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING NEXT WEEK.

ANYONE LIVING NEAR A RIVER OR STREAM...OR IN A LOW-LYING AREA IN
NORTHERN WISCONSIN...SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS FOR UPDATED
INFORMATION ON THE POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING.
