A MARINE WEATHER STATEMENT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS...
CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN BAY OF GREEN BAY...
NEARSHORE WATERS FROM WASHINGTON ISLAND TO SHEBOYGAN...
OPEN WATERS OF LAKE MICHIGAN FROM ROCK ISLAND PASSAGE TO SHEBOYGAN...

AT 123 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LARGE CLUSTER OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE BAY OF GREEN BAY...AND OVER THE COASTAL WATERS
OF LAKE MICHIGAN NORTH OF KEWAUNEE. THE SHOWERS AND STORMS WERE MOVING
TO THE EAST AROUND 25 KNOTS.

ANOTHER CLUSTER OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED FROM NEAR GREEN BAY
WEST TO NEAR STEVENS POINT. THIS CLUSTER OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WAS
MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AROUND 25 KNOTS.

THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS SHOULD MOVE EAST OF THE CENTRAL BAY OF
GREEN BAY BY 230 AM....WHILE CONTINUING ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS OF LAKE
MICHIGAN THROUGH 315 AM.

SOME OF THE STRONGER STORMS COULD PRODUCE GUSTS AROUND 25 KNOTS AND FREQUENT
CLOUD TO WATER LIGHTNING STRIKES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS UP TO 30 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THESE STORMS PASS.
