APPLETON REACHED NEW RECORDS FOR COLD MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE
YESTERDAY AND LOW TEMPERATURE TODAY. THE HIGH YESTERDAY
WAS 45 DEGREES...FALLING SHORT OF 47 DEGREES RECORDED IN 1908
AND 1945. THE LOW TEMPERATURE THIS MORNING WAS 29
DEGREES...BESTING THE OLD RECORD OF 30 DEGREES SEEN IN 1914.

ADDITIONALLY...WAUSAU REPORTED A TRACE OF SNOWFALL YESTERDAY.
THIS REPORT EQUALS THE TRACE OF SNOWFALL RECORDED ON MAY 14
1921. RECORD SNOWFALLS MAY ALSO HAVE BEEN SEEN IN RHINELANDER
AND STEVENS POINT YESTERDAY...BUT REQUIRE FURTHER INVESTIGATION.
