HYDROLOGIC STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GREEN BAY WI
751 AM CDT TUE OCT 18 2016

...The following rivers were reported to be rising ...or will be
rising in the next 24 hours...the Menominee River...

For the Menominee River near Florence
* The latest stage was 7.3 feet.
* At 8.5 feet...There is minor lowland flooding.  Flood stage is at 9
  feet.


For the Menominee River below Twin Falls Dam
* The latest stage was 17.6 feet.
* At 18.5 feet...There is minor lowland flooding.  Flood stage is
  20.5 feet.  Flows downstream from the Kingsford dam to Niagara are
  fast and dangerous.


For the Menominee River near Niagara
* The latest stage was 10.9 feet.
* At 11.5 feet...Near 8200 cfs...piers gorge downstream consided high
  for local rafting companies downstream .


For the Menominee River near Vulcan
* The latest stage was 10.2 feet.
* At 9.0 feet...There is lowland flooding along the river.


Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. The next scheduled
routine statement will be issued tomorrow morning.
