HYDROLOGIC STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GREEN BAY WI

...The following rivers were reported to be rising ...or will be
rising in the next 24 hours...the Fox River...Memoninee River...
Menominee River...Upper Wolf River...Wisconsin River...Wolf River...

For the Wisconsin River at Rothschild
* The latest stage was 17.9 feet.
* At 18.0 feet...There is minor lowland flooding.  Flood stage is at
  25 feet.


For the Menominee River near Kingsford
* The latest stage was 6924 feet.
* At 8000 feet...Flows at this rate downstream from the Kingsford dam may
  may impact some shoreline structures.


For the Memoninee River near Big Quinnesec Falls Dam
* The latest stage was 7486 feet.
* At 5000 feet...While flooding is not expected...river flows are high or
  expected to increase. Recreational interests should monitor the river.
  Property owners adjacent to the river should consider protecting shoreline equipment including docks...piers and boats.


For the Menominee River near Niagara
* The latest stage was 10.6 feet.
* At 10.0 feet...Which is bankfull stage...there is flooding of
  lowland.  Piers gorge rapids downstream becoming active.


For the Menominee River near Vulcan
* The latest stage was 11.1 feet.
* At 12.0 feet...There is some minor flooding of adjacent farmland
  and wooded lowland.


For the Menominee River near McAllister
* The latest stage was 14.1 feet.
* At 15.0 feet...Water covers the boat docks near the river gage and
  there is extensive flooding of wooded lowland.


For the Upper Wolf River at Langlade
* The latest stage was 9.0 feet.
* At 9.5 feet...There is minor flooding of lowland in the vicinity of
  the town of Langlade.  At high flows...river banks can quickly
  become saturated and unstable.  Flood stage is 11.5 feet.


For the Wolf River near Shiocton
* The latest stage was 10.5 feet.
* At 10.5 feet...Just below Flood Stage.  Slow no wake limits may be
  in effect.  Flooding affects include lowland wooded and
  agricultural regions.


For the Wolf River at New London
* The latest stage was 6.8 feet.
* At 7.0 feet...Which is bankfull stage...there is minor lowland
  flooding.  Flood stage is at 9 feet.


For the Fox River at Appleton
* The latest stage was 6.7 feet.
* At 7.0 feet...The river current in this region begins to get fast
  from Appleton to The Thousand Island area downstream.


Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. The next scheduled
routine statement will be issued tomorrow morning.
