...EXTREMELY POOR TRAVEL CONDITIONS EXPECTED FOR THE AFTERNOON
COMMUTE IN PORTIONS OF EAST-CENTRAL WISCONSIN...

A band of heavy snow will affect areas from Marinette to Oconto,
to Green Bay, to the Fox Cities, east to the lakeshore through 500
pm. Snowfall rates within the band are likely to exceed 1 inch
per hour. In addition, increasing northeast winds will result in
blowing and drifting of the snow. The combination of falling snow
and blowing and drifting snow could result in near white-out
conditions at times, especially in open areas near the lake and
bay.

Commuters should expect an especially difficult drive home this
afternoon. Be sure to drive at a responsible speed, maintain
plenty of distance between your vehicle and those around you, and
allow extra time to reach your destination.

The snow will begin to diminish by early evening.
