...PATCHY DENSE FOG EXPECTED UNTIL MID-MORNING...

LINGERING MOISTURE IN THE LOW LEVELS OF THE ATMOSPHERE WAS
CAUSING FOG TO FORM ACROSS THE AREA OVERNIGHT. THE VISIBILITY
ACROSS MOST OF THE AREA WAS 1/4 MILE OR GREATER...WHICH IS
SUFFICIENT TO SAFELY TRAVEL AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. BUT THERE WERE SOME
PATCHES OF THICKER FOG...WHICH WILL REQUIRE MOTORISTS TO SLOW DOWN
AND DRIVE WITH EXTRA CAUTION. AS OF 110 AM...THE PATCHES OF
THICKER FOG WERE PRIMARILY OVER VILAS COUNTY...AND NEAR THE LAKE
IN MANITOWOC COUNTY...BUT PATCHES OF DENSE FOG WILL PROBABLY FOR
AT OTHER LOCATIONS BEFORE DAYBREAK.

WHEN DRIVING IN FOG...ALWAYS USE LOW-BEAM HEADLIGHTS AND BE SURE
TO REDUCE YOUR SPEED TO THE POINT WHERE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SAFELY
STOP IF YOU ENCOUNTER AN OBJECT OR ANIMAL ON THE ROAD.
VISIBILITIES SHOULD GRADUALLY IMPROVE AFTER DAYBREAK...AND THE FOG
SHOULD BE GONE COMPLETELY BY MID TO LATE MORNING.
