...MIXED PRECIPITATION AND A SLUSHY ACCUMULATION POSSIBLE FOR THE
COMMUTE IN THE FOX VALLEY AND LAKESHORE AREAS...

A band of mixed snow, sleet and rain is expected to move through
the Fox Valley and lakeshore areas between 3 pm and 5 pm. This
will coincide with the afternoon commute. Conditions are likely
to be worst over the northern Fox Valley, where temperatures have
cooled to near the freezing mark. A slushy accumulation of an
inch or less is anticipated, so motorists should expect slippery
roads and locally hazardous travel conditions.

Temperatures will continue to slowly drop through the lower 30s
during the evening. Drizzle or freezing drizzle is expected to
impact the region, so slick conditions will persist, especially on
untreated secondary roads, bridges and overpasses. Motorists
should use caution.
