.PERIODS OF WINTRY PRECIPITATION WILL CONTINUE TODAY AS A STRONG
STORM SYSTEM CROSSES THE AREA. WARMER AIR MOVING INTO THE AREA
FROM THE SOUTH WILL LIKELY CAUSE THE PRECIPITATION TO CHANGE TO
RAIN FOR AT LEAST A TIME OVER PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND EAST-
CENTRAL WISCONSIN. ANY RAIN WILL CHANGE BACK OVER TO SNOW THIS
AFTERNOON AS MUCH COLDER AIR SURGES INTO THE REGION ON STRONG
WEST WINDS.

* A TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 4 TO 8 INCHES IS EXPECTED IN
  MARATHON...LINCOLN...AND ONEIDA COUNTIES...WITH A TOTAL
  ACCUMULATION OF 5 TO 9 INCHES TO THE EAST.

* TRAVEL WILL BE HAZARDOUS.

* INCREASING WINDS THIS LATE THIS AFTERNOON WILL RESULT IN SOME
  BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF THE SNOW...WHICH MAY PERSIST INTO
  TONIGHT. THE BLOWING AND DRIFTING IS LIKELY TO HAMPER THE CLEAN-
  UP EFFORTS OF HIGHWAY CREWS.
