...Showers and thunderstorms this morning then drying out this
afternoon...

.DISCUSSION...
A cold front will drop south through the Lower Peninsula this
morning. Showers and thunderstorms will accompany the front as it
moves south. Locally heavy rain will remain possible through midday.
Cooler and drier air will filter in behind the front late this
afternoon and evening. A much cooler and drier airmass will be in
place this weekend. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will be
possible this weekend.
