...Water levels are high or forecast to have significant rises for
the following rivers or creeks: Sycamore Creek at Holt...Maple River
at Maple Rapids...
.The current weather is dominated by a slow-moving frontal boundary
fed by moisture from the Gulf of Mexico. This weather system
will produce rainfall amounts ranging from around 0.50 inches in
the southeast CWA near Jackson up to 1.50 inches in the Ludington
area through Friday. The following forecast is based on observed and
forecast 24 hour precipitation.
For the Sycamore Creek At Holt... the latest stage was 3.5 feet at 8
AM Thursday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage forecasted
is 6.8 feet early Saturday afternoon. Flood stage is 8.0 feet. At
6.0 feet... Flooding begins in low lying areas along the creek and at
the Lansing Municipal Golf Course and Scott Woods Park..
For the Maple River At Maple Rapids... the latest stage was 3.2 feet
at 9 AM Thursday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage
forecasted is 7.5 feet Sunday early afternoon. Flood stage is 9.0
feet. At 7.0 feet... River is bankfull. Expect minor flooding in low
lying pastures, farmland, and wooded areas adjacent to the river..
