...Significant rises expected on the following rivers in southern
Michigan: Sycamore Creek at Holt...

.Rain will fall over the Sycamore Creek basin today and early
this evening...producing about one quarter inch of precipitation.
Another round of rain will occur Sunday...with an additional one
half to one inch of rainfall possible.  The runoff from these two
rain events will cause rises to develop on the Sycamore River at
Holt.  The following forecast is based on observed and forecast
48 hour precipitation.

For the Sycamore Creek At Holt... the latest stage was 4.7 feet at 8
PM Thursday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage forecasted
is 6.5 feet early Monday morning.  Flood stage is 8.0 feet.  At 6.0
feet... Flooding begins in low lying areas along the creek and at the
Lansing Municipal Golf Course and Scott Woods Park..

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
