.Dry weather is forecast through Tuesday with high pressure
influencing our weather. The dry weather should allow most
area rivers to continue to fall. Significant rain is possible
Wednesday night and Thursday. The following forecast is based
on observed and forecast 24 hour precipitation.
For the Thornapple River Above Hastings... the latest stage was 4.6
feet at 9 AM Monday. No flooding is forecast. The river has fallen
0.2 feet in the past 24 hours. Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
For the Muskegon River Near Croton... the latest stage was 7.3 feet
at 9 AM Monday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage
forecast is 8.0 feet Thursday morning. Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
At 8.0 feet... River is bankfull. River begins to exceed its banks
and minor flooding begins in low lying areas along the river..
