...Water levels are high or forecast to have significant rises for
the following rivers or creeks: Flat River at Smyrna...Muskegon
River at Croton...
.Rain showers will gradually end today. Another round of
precipitation begins late Tuesday into Wednesday. Heavy rain will
be possible. This could result in additional flooding along area
streams and rivers. Though some streams and rivers are currently
falling or steady, additional rises may occur. The following forecast
is based on observed and forecast 24 hour precipitation.
For the Flat River Near Smyrna... the latest stage was 5.1 feet at 10
AM Tuesday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage forecast
is 5.5 feet Friday morning. Flood stage is 8.5 feet.
For the Muskegon River Near Croton... the latest stage was 6.9 feet
at 11 AM Tuesday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage
forecast is 8.2 feet Thursday morning. Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
At 8.0 feet... River is bankfull. River begins to exceed its banks
and minor flooding begins in low lying areas along the river..
