Hydrologic Statement

...Water levels are high or forecast to have significant rises for
the following rivers or creeks:  Maple River at Maple Rapids...
.Widespread heavy rainfall in excess of two inches has fallen across
much of Western and Central Michigan. An additional inch of
rainfall is possible through Tuesday with locally higher amounts
possible. The following forecast is based on observed and forecast
48 hour precipitation.

For the Maple River At Maple Rapids... the latest stage was 3.8 feet
at 9 PM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 7.1 feet Thursday morning.  Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
At 7.0 feet... River is bankfull. Expect minor flooding in low lying
pastures, farmland, and wooded areas adjacent to the river..

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
