The following forecasts are for rivers in Southwest Lower Michigan...

For the Flat River Near Smyrna... the latest stage was 4.8 feet at 11
AM Thursday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage forecasted
is 5.6 feet early Monday morning.  At 5.5 feet... the river is
bankfull. Flood stage is 8.5 feet.

For the Thornapple River Near Caledonia... the latest stage was 6.8
feet at 1 PM Thursday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage
forecasted is 8.0 feet Sunday morning. Flood stage is 10.0 feet. At
8.0 feet... River is bankfull, and overflow into low lying areas
along the river begins.

For the Kalamazoo River Near New Richmond... the latest stage was
14.6 feet at 1 PM Thursday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum
stage forecasted is 14.9 feet tomorrow early afternoon. At 15.0
feet... the river is bankfull. Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
