...Water levels are forecast to rise along the Grand River at Ionia
and the Maple River at Maple Rapids...

.Partial snowmelt on Thursday has sent some water running off into
area rivers, keeping levels elevated over the weekend. One to two
inches of rain is looking increasingly likely Monday through Tuesday.
This may push the rivers at Ionia and Maple Rapids out of their
banks.

For the Grand River At Ionia... the latest stage was 12.9 feet at 11
AM Friday. No significant flooding is forecast. Bankfull is 13.5
feet. Flood stage is 21.0 feet. The river may rise to 14.7 feet by
Sunday. Rain on Monday into Tuesday may cause a higher crest later
in the week.

For the Maple River At Maple Rapids... the latest stage was 5.1 feet
at 11 AM Friday. No significant flooding is forecast. Bankfull is
7.0 feet. Flood stage is 9.0 feet. The river may crest to at least
7.4 feet later next week after it rains on Monday and Tuesday.

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
