HYDROLOGIC STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAND RAPIDS MI
1059 AM EDT SAT SEP 17 2016

...Water levels are high or forecast to have significant rises for
the following rivers or creeks:  Sycamore Creek at Holt...
.A broad area of rainfall will depart toward the east through
Saturday morning. Rainfall amounts have generally reflected between
0.25-0.50 of an inch with localized areas of around an inch. The
most robust rainfall amounts exist in a thin ribbon from far
Southwest Lower Michigan northeastward into the "thumb" region.
These amounts will lead to river rises, most being well within
banks. A few locations may reach near bankfull in the next 24-36
hours. Little additional rainfall is expected this weekend. The
following forecast is based on observed and forecast 24 hour
precipitation.

For the Sycamore Creek At Holt... the latest stage was 3.4 feet at 10
AM Saturday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage forecasted
is 6.1 feet tomorrow early afternoon.  Flood stage is 8.0 feet.  At
6.0 feet... Flooding begins in low lying areas along the creek and at
the Lansing Municipal Golf Course and Scott Woods Park..

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
