HYDROLOGIC STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAND RAPIDS MI

...Elevated Water levels expected for the following rivers or creeks:
Grand River at Lowell...Comstock Park...Grand Rapids...
Sycamore Creek at Holt...
Looking Glass River at Eagle...
Flat River at Smyrna...
Thornapple River at Hastings...
Chippewa River at Mt Pleasant...

.Runoff from the rainfall event Friday and Friday night will continue to
produce elevated water levels across West Michigan.  Additional preciptiation
amounts of one tenth of an inch or less are expected through Monday morning.
The following forecast is based on observed and forecast 48 hour precipitation.

For the Grand River At Lowell... no observed stage was available.  No
flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage forecasted is 10.2 feet
Tuesday morning.  Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

For the Grand River Near Comstock Park... the latest stage was 9.0
feet at 7 AM Saturday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 10.8 feet Tuesday early afternoon.  Flood stage is 12.0
feet.  At 11.0 feet... River is bankfull..

For the Grand River At Grand Rapids... the latest stage was 6.7 feet
at 10 AM Saturday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 10.5 feet early Wednesday morning.  Flood stage is 18.0
feet.

For the Sycamore Creek At Holt... no observed stage was available.
No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage forecasted is 5.5 feet
this evening.  Flood stage is 8.0 feet.

For the Looking Glass River Near Eagle... the latest stage was 4.7
feet at 10 AM Saturday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 5.1 feet tomorrow morning.  Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
At 5.0 feet... River is bankfull..

For the Flat River Near Smyrna... the latest stage was 4.6 feet at 5
AM Saturday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage forecasted
is 5.6 feet Monday evening.  Flood stage is 8.5 feet.

For the Thornapple River Above Hastings... the latest stage was 4.0
feet at 10 AM Saturday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 4.4 feet early Monday morning.  Flood stage is 7.0
feet.

For the Chippewa River Below Mt Pleasant... the latest stage was 6.0
feet at 10 AM Saturday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 6.1 feet after midnight tonight.  Flood stage is 8.0
feet.  At 6.0 feet... River is bankfull. Expect minor flooding of low
lying areas adjacent to the river..
