.Rivers remain high due to recent heavy rains and snow melt. Little
to no additional rain is expected through Thursday night. The
following forecast is based on observed and forecast 48 hour
For the Grand River Near Comstock Park... the latest stage was 9.8
feet at 5 PM Tuesday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage
forecasted is 11.1 feet Sunday morning. Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
At 11.0 feet... River is bankfull..
For the Flat River Near Smyrna... the latest stage was 4.3 feet at 8
PM Tuesday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage forecasted
is 5.6 feet Sunday morning. Flood stage is 8.5 feet.
For the Kalamazoo River Near New Richmond... the latest stage was
14.1 feet at 9 PM Tuesday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum
stage forecasted is 15.2 feet Thursday evening. Flood stage is 17.0
feet. At 15.0 feet... River is bankfull and begins to spill over
into large swampy areas along the river. Boardwalk along the river
would become flooded..
