PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...Never drive vehicles through flooded areas. the
water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow children to
play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio or
local media for further statements and updated forecasts.

* until late Thursday night.
* At 10 PM Tuesday the stage was 12.0 feet and steady.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will fall below the 11.0 foot flood stage
  around  3 AM Thursday July  2.
* At 12.0 feet...The flooding of county roads begin.

* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will fall below the 10.0 foot flood stage
  around 12 AM Friday July  3.
* At 13.0 feet...Access road to Bluffton wastewater treatment plant
  is flooded.

  The Wabash River at Wabash
* until further notice.
* At 9 PM Tuesday the stage was 16.8 feet and rising.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to a crest near 19.3 feet around  8
  PM Wednesday July  1 and begin falling.
* At 19.0 feet...Residential and some commercial flooding begins on
  the right bank in southwest sections of Wabash. Extensive rural
  flooding south of Rich Valley begins in western Wabash County.

  The Saint Joseph River Ohio below Montpelier
* until Saturday afternoon.
* At 3 AM Tuesday the stage was 13.1 feet and falling.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will fall below the 12.0 foot flood stage
  around 12 PM Friday July  3.
* At 14.0 feet...County Road K, one mile southwest of Montpelier is
  flooded. Flood waters affect the southeast side of Pioneer and
  cover large areas of low land and agricultural land near the river.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.4 feet which occurred
  on Feb 7 2008.

  The Saint Joseph River Ohio above Newville
* until Monday afternoon.
* At 9 PM Tuesday the stage was 14.6 feet and rising.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to a crest near 14.7 feet around  2
  PM Wednesday July  1 and fall below flood stage around  4 PM Sunday
  July  5.
* At 14.0 feet...Significant flooding occurs on DeKalb County Road 42
  about 3 miles northeast of Newville. Considerable agricultural and
  low land flooding occurs along the St. Joseph River to the
  Cedarville Reservoir.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.6 feet which occurred
  on May 30 2011.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will fall to near 16.2 feet around  2 AM
  Wednesday July  1.
* At 16.5 feet...Major flooding will occur in and around the village
  of Stryker.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.0 feet which occurred
  on Feb 8 2008.

* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will fall below the 17.0 foot flood stage
  around  4 PM Wednesday July  1.
* At 19.0 feet...The city of Fort Wayne launches 24-hour flood fight.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.7 feet which occurred
  on Apr 29 2011.

* Forecast...The river will fall below the 10.0 foot flood stage
  around  9 AM Thursday July  2.
* At 15.0 feet...North end of East Front and Wayne Streets and areas
  between Main and Prospect Streets flood.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.8 feet which occurred
  on Feb 13 2009.

* Forecast...The river will fall below the 12.0 foot flood stage
  around  3 AM Wednesday July  1.
* At 12.5 feet...Recreational campgrounds near Napoleon begin to
  flood.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 13.1 feet which occurred
  on May 11 2003.

* until late Thursday night.
* At 10 PM Tuesday the stage was 19.7 feet and falling.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will fall below the 17.0 foot flood stage
  around  5 AM Thursday July  2.
* At 19.5 feet...Flooding expands into more farm land in the Decatur
  area. Flood waters approach Piqua Road...US 224...Ohio State Route
  49 and Indiana 101 just north of Pleasant Mills.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 19.6 feet which occurred
  on May 26 2011.

  around  6 AM Wednesday July  1.
* At 15.0 feet...Flooding occurs on the lowest unprotected city
  streets, park drives and county roads.

  low agricultural land and roads nearest the river.

* Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
* The river fell below flood stage Tuesday evening.
* Forecast...The river will fall to near 22.8 feet around  2 AM
  Wednesday July  1.
* At 23.0 feet...Lowland flooding occurs mainly in south Ottawa.
  Flood water also gets into low farmlands.
