.Moderate to heavy rainfall has led to rises on area rivers. Rain over
northwest Ohio will gradually taper off through midnight tonight, with
the heaviest rain this evening.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...Never drive vehicles through flooded areas. the
water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow children to
play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio or

* At 13.0 feet...Boots Street begins to flood as water backs up
  Massey Creek. Several homes in this area become flooded.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 13.3 feet which occurred
  on Jul 7 2003.

* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage Sunday afternoon
  and crest near 13.1 feet around  8 AM Tuesday June 30. Additional
  rises are possible thereafter.
* At 13.0 feet...Flooding begins to affect streets and homes in
  Monterey.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 13.4 feet which occurred
  on Jun 15 2013.

* until Tuesday morning.
* At 7 PM Saturday the stage was 14.7 feet and rising.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to a crest near 16.2 feet around  2
  PM Sunday June 28 and fall below flood stage around  9 AM Monday
  June 29.
* At 16.0 feet...Moderate flooding begins along the Auglaize River
  with secondary roads and agricultural lands as well as homes
  nearest the river being affected by flood waters. Some evacuations
  of people and property may be necessary.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.3 feet which occurred
  on Dec 23 2013.

* from Sunday afternoon to Monday evening.
* At 7 PM Saturday the stage was 17.9 feet and rising.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage Sunday afternoon
  and crest near 21.1 feet around  8 PM Sunday June 28 and fall below
  flood stage around  9 PM Sunday June 28.
* At 21.0 feet...Water gets into backyards of homes on Riverside
  Avenue. Riverside Park in Defiance begins to flood. Flood water
  approaches State Route 111 upstream of hydro dam.

* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage Saturday evening
  and crest near 16.8 feet around  8 AM Sunday June 28 and fall below
  flood stage around  5 AM Tuesday June 30.
* At 17.0 feet...Massive flooding will occur. Residents living along
  the Maumee and its tributaries should prepare for extensive flood
  losses.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.7 feet which occurred
  on Mar 11 2009.

  AM Sunday June 28 and fall below flood stage around  8 PM Wednesday
  July  1.
* At 20.5 feet...Indiana 101 north of Pleasant Mills is closed by
  flood water. Extensive agricultural flooding is in progress.
  Residents of the east and southeast side of Decatur become
  concerned.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 20.4 feet which occurred
  on Apr 12 2013.

  Fairwick Apartments may need to be evacuated. Property damage
  increases in some areas at this level.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 17.0 feet which occurred

  the right bank in southwest sections of Wabash. Extensive rural
  flooding south of Rich Valley begins in western Wabash County.

  AM Monday June 29 and begin falling.
* At 14.0 feet...Significant flooding occurs on DeKalb County Road 42
  about 3 miles northeast of Newville. Considerable agricultural and
  low land flooding occurs along the St. Joseph River to the
  Cedarville Reservoir.

  possible.
