.Light to moderate rain will move in overnight and continue through
Monday. Additional rainfall combined with already saturated soils from
recent heavy rains will lead to rises on area rivers.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...Never drive vehicles through flooded areas. the
water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow children to
play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio or
local media for further statements and updated forecasts.

* At 9 PM Sunday the stage was 16.3 feet and rising.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to a crest near 16.5 feet around  8
  AM Monday June 29 and begin falling.
* At 16.5 feet...Major flooding will occur in and around the village
  of Stryker.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.0 feet which occurred
  on Feb 8 2008.

* Forecast...The river will rise to a crest near 17.4 feet around 10
  AM Monday June 29 and fall below flood stage around  2 AM Tuesday
  June 30.
* At 18.0 feet...Extensive flooding is in progress.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 17.8 feet which occurred
  on May 27 2011.

* until further notice.
* At 8 PM Sunday the stage was 11.9 feet and steady.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage Sunday night and
  crest near 13.2 feet around  2 PM Wednesday July  1. Additional
  rises are possible thereafter.
* At 13.0 feet...Flooding begins to affect streets and homes in
  Monterey.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 13.4 feet which occurred
  on Jun 15 2013.

* from Tuesday afternoon until further notice.
* At 9 PM Sunday the stage was 8.7 feet and steady.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage Tuesday afternoon
  and crest near 10.4 feet around  8 AM Thursday July  2. Additional
  rises are possible thereafter.
* At 10.0 feet...The river is at flood stage. Some residences begin
  to be affected by flood water and the Winamac town park floods.

* Forecast...The river will fall below the 9.0 foot flood stage
  around  2 AM Tuesday June 30.
* At 11.0 feet...Flood water nears the lumber company and trailer
  court on south Mill Street.

* until late Tuesday night.
* At 9 PM Sunday the stage was 22.7 feet and rising.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to a crest near 23.5 feet around  8
  AM Monday June 29 and fall below flood stage around 12 AM Tuesday
  June 30.
* At 23.0 feet...Homes on Riverside Avenue in Defiance begin to
  flood.

  The Maumee River AT Ft. Wayne
* until Friday morning.
* At 9 PM Sunday the stage was 21.3 feet and rising.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to a crest near 21.4 feet around  2
  AM Monday June 29 and fall below flood stage around 10 AM Thursday
  July  2.
* At 21.0 feet...An increasing number of city streets begin to flood.
  Evacuations are necessary in River Haven. Numerous Allen County
  roads are flooded at this level.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 21.1 feet which occurred
  on May 27 2011.

* Forecast...The river will rise to a crest near 18.3 feet around  8
  AM Monday June 29 and fall below flood stage around  8 AM Thursday
  July  2.
* At 18.3 feet...Flood water closes Perry Street at First Street.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.0 feet which occurred
  on Feb 8 2008.

* At 12 PM Saturday the stage was 6.8 feet and rising.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will crest near 16.8 feet around 2 AM Monday
  June 29 and fall below flood stage around 7 AM Wednesday July  1.
* At 17.0 feet...Massive flooding will occur. Residents living along
  the Maumee and its tributaries should prepare for extensive flood
  losses.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.7 feet which occurred
  on Mar 11 2009.

  The Saint Joseph River Ohio below Montpelier
* until further notice.
* At 12 PM Sunday the stage was 12.2 feet and rising.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to a crest near 13.0 feet around  8
  AM Wednesday July  1 and begin falling.
* At 13.0 feet...County Road K, one mile southwest of Montpelier
  begins to flood. Some flooding begins to affect the village of
  Pioneer. Significant low land and agricultural flooding occurs near
  the river.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 12.7 feet which occurred
  on Dec 17 2011.

* At 9 PM Sunday the stage was 13.9 feet and rising.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to a crest near 14.4 feet around  8
  PM Monday June 29 and begin falling.
* At 14.0 feet...Significant flooding occurs on DeKalb County Road 42
  about 3 miles northeast of Newville. Considerable agricultural and
  low land flooding occurs along the St. Joseph River to the
  Cedarville Reservoir.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.6 feet which occurred
  on May 30 2011.

* At 9 PM Sunday the stage was 20.9 feet and falling.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will fall below the 17.0 foot flood stage
  around  5 AM Thursday July  2.
* At 20.5 feet...Indiana 101 north of Pleasant Mills is closed by
  flood water. Extensive agricultural flooding is in progress.
  Residents of the east and southeast side of Decatur become
  concerned.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 21.0 feet which occurred
  on Apr 29 2011.

  around  5 PM Monday June 29.
* At 15.0 feet...Flooding occurs on the lowest unprotected city
  streets, park drives and county roads.

* until Monday evening.
* At 9 PM Sunday the stage was 12.4 feet and steady.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will fall below the 12.0 foot flood stage
  around 12 AM Monday June 29.
* At 12.0 feet...River is at flood stage. County Road 1125 South near
  Matthews begins to flood. The restaurant near the river gage begins
  to flood. Water begins to enter Matter Park and crosses north
  Washington Street.  Basements and homes along Boots Creek begin to
  flood. A few residents along River Road become concerned. Flood
  water approaches restaurant near Charles Park
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 12.2 feet which occurred
  on Feb 12 2009.

* At 12.0 feet...The flooding of county roads begin.

* At 13.0 feet...Access road to Bluffton wastewater treatment plant
  is flooded.

* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage Sunday night and
  crest near 18.1 feet around  8 PM Monday June 29. Additional rises
  are possible thereafter.
* At 19.0 feet...Residential and some commercial flooding begins on
  the right bank in southwest sections of Wabash. Extensive rural
  flooding south of Rich Valley begins in western Wabash County.

* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to a crest near 26.3 feet around  2
  PM Monday June 29 and fall below flood stage around 11 PM Tuesday
  June 30.
* At 26.6 feet...Flood water begins to hit the bottom of the bridge
  at the gage site.
