...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EST FRIDAY...

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * ACCUMULATIONS: LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WITH STORM TOTAL SNOW
   ACCUMULATIONS OF 4 TO 7 SNOW EXPECTED BY LATE TONIGHT. LOCALLY
   HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS CASS COUNTY AND THE NORTHERN
   PORTIONS OF BERRIEN COUNTY. MOST OF THE SNOW ACCUMULATION IS
   EXPECTED FROM MID MORNING THROUGH THIS EVENING. SNOWFALL RATES
   OF AN INCH PER HOUR CAN BE EXPECTED WITH THE HEAVIER LAKE
   EFFECT SNOW BANDS.

 * TIMING: LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL INTENSIFY TODAY AND
   PERSIST THROUGH THIS EVENING BEFORE DIMINISHING OVERNIGHT.

 * WEST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH SOME GUSTS TO 30 MPH WILL
   CONTINUE THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON BEFORE DIMINISHING TONIGHT.
   BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW ALONG WITH PERIODS OF SIGNIFICANTLY
   REDUCED VISIBILITIES ARE EXPECTED FROM MID MORNING THROUGH THIS
   EVENING.

IMPACTS...

 * ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED...SLICK AND HAZARDOUS CREATING
   DANGEROUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS. THIS WILL INCLUDE HIGHWAYS 31
   AND 33 AND POSSIBLY PORTIONS OF INTERSTATE 94.

 * THE COMBINATION OF THE HEAVIER LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS AND
   STRONG WINDS MAY CREATE NEAR WHITEOUT CONDITIONS AT TIMES.

 * COLD TEMPERATURES ARE ALSO EXPECTED WITH WIND CHILLS BETWEEN
   ZERO AND 10 ABOVE ZERO.

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING.  SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF
SNOW ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN
AN EMERGENCY. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL...KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT...

 * ACCUMULATIONS: LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL VARY GREATLY FROM
   NORTH TO SOUTH ACROSS THE AREA. ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 4
   INCHES...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS...ARE EXPECTED ALONG THE
   INDIANA TOLL ROAD NORTH...GENERALLY EAST OF MILE MARKER 45...TO
   THE STATE LINE. AMOUNTS WILL DIMINISH RAPIDLY ACROSS SOUTHERN
   PARTS OF THE COUNTIES...WHERE 1 INCH OR LESS OF SNOW
   ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED. MOST OF THE SNOW ACCUMULATION IS
   EXPECTED FROM MID MORNING THROUGH THIS EVENING.

 * TIMING: LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL INTENSIFY TODAY AND
   CONTINUE INTO THIS EVENING. THE LOCATION OF THE HEAVIEST BANDS
   WILL VARY BUT SHOULD REMAIN ALONG AND NORTH OF THE INDIANA TOLL
   ROAD. THE SNOW SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED TO DIMINISH TONIGHT.

 * WEST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH THROUGH EARLY THIS EVENING WILL
   CAUSE AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW AND REDUCED

 * ACCUMULATIONS: LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED TO BRING
   STORM TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 5 INCHES BY LATE TONIGHT
   WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. MOST OF THE SNOW
   ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED FROM MID MORNING THROUGH THIS EVENING.
   THE GREATEST ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED WEST OF INTERSTATE 69.

 * TIMING: LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL INTENSIFY TODAY AND
   CONTINUE INTO THIS EVENING. THE SNOW SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED TO
   DIMINISH LATER TONIGHT.

 * WEST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH THROUGH EARLY THIS EVENING WILL
   CAUSE AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW AND REDUCED
   VISIBILITIES...MAKING TRAVEL DIFFICULT AT TIMES.
