THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTHERN INDIANA HAS ISSUED A
WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH LATE THURSDAY NIGHT.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * ACCUMULATIONS: ADDITIONAL LOCAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES
   INTO THIS EVENING BEFORE ENDING. LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS MAY
   BRING 6 TO 10 INCHES OF SNOW LATE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
   THURSDAY NIGHT WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.

 * TIMING: LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL SLOWLY DIMINISH THIS
   EVENING. LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL REDEVELOP LATE WEDNESDAY
   AFTERNOON AND PERSIST THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT BEFORE SLOWLY
   DIMINISHING LATE THURSDAY NIGHT.

 * WEST TO SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 30 MPH
   CAN BE EXPECTED TO PERSIST INTO THIS EVENING...BUT SLOWLY
   DIMINISH OVERNIGHT. THIS WILL CAUSE BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF
   SNOW ON ROADS...MAKING TRAVEL DIFFICULT AT TIMES. ADDITIONAL
   AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW IS POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY NIGHT
   AND THURSDAY.

 * ROADS WILL BE SNOW COVERED...SLICK AND HAZARDOUS CREATING
   DANGEROUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS.

 * THE COMBINATION OF HEAVY SNOWFALL AND STRONG WINDS MAY CREATE
   NEAR WHITEOUT CONDITIONS AT TIMES.

 * VERY COLD TEMPERATURES ARE ALSO EXPECTED WITH WIND CHILLS
   BETWEEN ZERO AND 10 ABOVE ZERO.

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW
ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN AN
EMERGENCY. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL...KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT...
FOOD...AND WATER IN YOUR VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTHERN INDIANA HAS ISSUED A
WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH LATE THURSDAY NIGHT.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * ACCUMULATIONS: LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS COULD BRING 4 TO 8 INCHES
   OF SNOW FROM LATE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT
   WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.

 * TIMING: LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL RAPIDLY DEVELOP LATE
   WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND INTENSIFY WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO
   THURSDAY. THE LOCATION OF THE BANDS WILL VARY BUT SHOULD REMAIN
   ALONG AND NORTH OF THE INDIANA TOLL ROAD. THE SNOW SHOWERS ARE
   EXPECTED TO DIMINISH SLOWLY THURSDAY NIGHT.

 * WEST TO SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 30 MPH
