TUESDAY...

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * ACCUMULATIONS: 4 TO 10 INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED WITH LOCAL
   AMOUNTS TO 12 INCHES OR HIGHER POSSIBLE. SNOWFALL RATES OF 1
   TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR MAY OCCUR AS WELL.

 * TIMING: LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE INTO TUESDAY.

 * WEST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 30 MPH CAN BE
   EXPECTED WITH THE HEAVY SNOW. THIS WILL CAUSE BLOWING AND
   DRIFTING OF SNOW ON ROADS...MAKING TRAVEL DIFFICULT OR
   IMPOSSIBLE.

IMPACTS...

 * ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED...SLICK AND HAZARDOUS CREATING
   DANGEROUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS THROUGH TUESDAY.

 * THE COMBINATION OF HEAVY SNOWFALL AND STRONG WINDS MAY CREATE
   NEAR WHITEOUT CONDITIONS AT TIMES.

 * VERY COLD TEMPERATURES ARE ALSO EXPECTED WITH WIND CHILLS
   DROPPING TO NEAR ZERO TONIGHT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW
ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN AN
EMERGENCY. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL...KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT...

   EFFECT SNOW BANDS. THE HEAVIEST ACCUMULATIONS WILL LIKELY BE
   OVER THE WESTERN PART OF THE COUNTY.

 * TIMING: LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE INTO TUESDAY.

 * WEST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED WITH THE SNOW.
