For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...Mild air will be firmly in place today as moderate south
wind persists over all marine areas. An arctic cold front will then
sweep across the Great Lakes tonight following low pressure tracking
through Upper Michigan at 29.60 inches. North gales are expected
behind the front from after midnight through Friday night. Arctic
high pressure will build over the region Saturday and last through
Sunday.

MORNING...

.TODAY...South winds 10 to 15 knots decreasing to 5 to 10 knots
late in the afternoon. A chance of drizzle in the morning.
Widespread fog. Rain. Waves 5 to 7 feet. Waves occasionally
around 10 feet.
.TONIGHT...South winds 5 to 10 knots becoming west 15 to 20 knots
late in the evening...then becoming northwest 20 to 25 knots with
gusts to 35 knot gales after midnight. Widespread fog early in
the evening. Rain until early morning. A chance of freezing rain
and sleet after midnight. A chance of snow after midnight. Waves
6 to 9 feet building to 8 to 12 feet early in the morning. Waves
occasionally around 15 feet.
.FRIDAY...Northwest winds 20 to 25 knots decreasing to 15 to
20 knots in the late morning and afternoon. Gusts to 35 knot
gales. A chance of snow early in the morning. Freezing spray in
the morning. Waves 6 to 9 feet. Waves occasionally around
12 feet.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...North winds 15 to 20 knots decreasing to 10 to
15 knots in the late evening and overnight. Waves 3 to 5 feet.
.SATURDAY...North winds 10 to 15 knots decreasing to 5 to
10 knots late in the afternoon. Waves 2 to 4 feet subsiding to
1 to 3 feet late in the afternoon.
.SUNDAY...Light and variable winds becoming southwest 5 to
10 knots in the late morning and early afternoon...then becoming
south 10 to 15 knots until early morning. Waves 1 to 3 feet.
.MONDAY...Southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. A chance of snow
showers. Snow showers likely until early morning. Waves 2 to
