Open Lake Forecast for Lake Huron

For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...Strong high pressure, approaching 30.70 inches, will continue to slide
off to the east of the region today. In its wake, weak low pressure,
30.20 inches, will track from Lake Superior to just north of Lake
Huron. Another weak area of low pressure, 30.20 inches, will then track
eastward across the southern Great Lakes on Sunday. High pressure,
approaching 30.50 inches, will then build across the region beginning
Monday.

evening. A chance of snow showers until early morning. A chance
of showers after midnight. Waves 3 to 5 feet.
.SUNDAY...Light and variable winds. A chance of showers until
late afternoon. Waves 1 to 3 feet.
.SUNDAY NIGHT...Light and variable winds becoming west 5 to
10 knots after midnight. Waves 2 feet or less.
.MONDAY...Northwest winds 5 to 10 knots backing to the southwest
late in the evening. Waves 2 feet or less.
.TUESDAY...South winds 5 to 10 knots increasing to 10 to 15 knots
until early morning. Showers likely after midnight. Waves 2 feet
or less building to 3 to 5 feet in the late evening and early
morning.
.WEDNESDAY...Southwest winds 15 to 20 knots veering to the west
with gusts to 30 knots in the late evening and early morning.
Showers. Waves 5 to 7 feet. Waves occasionally around 10 feet.
