Open Lake Forecast for Lake Huron

For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure, 30.00 inches, over the eastern Great
Lakes will move to New England today. Low pressure, 29.80 inches
will develop over the western Great Lakes late today, slowly
tracking across Lower Michigan on Tuesday. High pressure will then
expand across the region from the north late Tuesday into Wednesday
morning before drifting to the eastern lakes by Wednesday evening.
Low pressure and an associated warm front will then push into the
Great Lakes Wednesday night into Thursday.

.TUESDAY...West winds 5 to 10 knots. Waves 2 feet or less.
.TUESDAY NIGHT...West winds 5 to 10 knots veering to the
northeast after midnight. Waves 2 feet or less.
.WEDNESDAY...East winds 5 to 10 knots becoming southeast 10 to
15 knots late in the evening. A chance of showers after midnight.
Waves 1 to 3 feet.
.THURSDAY...Southeast winds 10 to 15 knots increasing to 15 to
20 knots in the late morning and early afternoon...then
decreasing to 10 to 15 knots until early morning. A chance of
showers early in the morning...then showers and thunderstorms
likely. A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the late evening
and early morning. Waves 3 to 5 feet.
.FRIDAY...South winds 5 to 10 knots veering to the west early in
the evening...then becoming northwest 10 to 15 knots in the late
evening and early morning. Waves 3 to 5 feet subsiding to 1 to
3 feet.
