Open Lake Forecast for Lake Huron

For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...Low pressure, 29.80 inches, will continue to track
towards Lake Erie this afternoon. Meanwhile, high pressure of 30.00
inches, will expand from northern Ontario to the eastern Great Lakes
by Wednesday. Low pressure is then forecasted to organize over the
upper Midwest on Wednesday, before lifting into the northern Great
Lakes Thursday and Thursday night. This system will drive a warm
front across Lower Michigan and Lake Huron on Thursday. This low
will then slowly depart to the east on Friday.

15 knots in the late evening and early morning...then becoming
northeast 5 to 10 knots early in the morning. Waves 1 to 3 feet.
.WEDNESDAY...East winds 10 to 15 knots decreasing to 5 to
10 knots early in the afternoon...then increasing to 10 to
15 knots late in the afternoon. Waves 1 to 3 feet.
.WEDNESDAY NIGHT...Southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Waves 1 to
3 feet.
.THURSDAY...Southeast winds 10 to 15 knots increasing to 15 to
20 knots in the late morning and afternoon. Showers with
thunderstorms likely. Waves 3 to 5 feet building to 4 to 6 feet
early in the afternoon. Waves occasionally around 8 feet.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...East winds 15 to 20 knots becoming southeast
10 to 15 knots after midnight. Showers and thunderstorms likely
until early morning...then a chance of showers and thunderstorms
early in the morning. Waves 4 to 6 feet. Waves occasionally
around 8 feet.
.FRIDAY...South winds 10 to 15 knots becoming west 15 to 20 knots
late in the afternoon...then becoming northwest 10 to 15 knots
late in the evening. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Waves
3 to 5 feet.
.SATURDAY...West winds 5 to 10 knots. Waves 2 feet or less.
.SUNDAY...West winds 5 to 10 knots early in the morning becoming
light and variable...then becoming southwest 5 to 10 knots until
