OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan
National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI
301 PM CDT Fri Mar 15 2024

FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

Winds have begun to shift toward the west inland, and high
pressure of 30.1 inches has settled over the region. Winds will
shift southerly going into the evening with increasing wave
action, before gusting southwesterly with the passage of low
pressure north of Lake Superior. As this low passes, a cold front
will shift winds out of the northwest, providing a gusty start to
the next week ahead.
