OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan

FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure of 30.4 inches over southeast Ontario
move through Quebec tonight. Weak low pressure of 30.0 inches
over northern Indiana will move to Ohio this evening. A broad
high pressure ridge averaging 30.1 inches will linger over the
eastern Great Lakes and New England through Friday. A cold front
is expected to move down the lake Friday night and then go
stationary over the southern tip of the lake as low pressure of
29.6 inches develops over the Central Plains. This low is
expected to lift across the middle Mississippi Valley causing the
front to surge back north as a warm front. The low is then
expected to continue northeast across the north end of the lake
late Saturday night while dragging another cold front across the
lake.
