FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure of 30.4 inches stretching from the
Western Great Lakes to the Southern Plains will reach the western
Atlantic by Friday afternoon. Meanwhile, strong low pressure of
29.0 inches will reach Alberta, Canada by Thursday evening, then
track east to James Bay by Friday evening. A cold front trailing
from this low will move across the lake Friday night with a 30.1
inch ridge of high pressure building east in the wake of this cold
front. The high will move across the western Great Lakes over the
weekend with a 29.2 inch low forecast to develop over the
Northern Plains Sunday night.

EVENING...

.TONIGHT...Southwest winds 10 to 20 kt increasing to 15 to 25 kt
with a few gusts to 30 kt after midnight. Chance of snow showers
overnight. Waves 2 to 4 ft building to 4 to 7 ft occasionally to 9
ft.
.THURSDAY...West winds 15 to 25 kt diminishing to 10 to 20 kt.
Chance of snow showers, mainly in the morning. Waves 4 to 6 ft
occasionally to 8 ft subsiding to 2 to 4 ft.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...West winds 10 to 20 kt becoming southwest late
in the evening...then increasing to 30 kt after midnight
increasing to gales to 40 kt late. Waves 1 to 3 ft building to
6 to 9 ft occasionally to 12 ft.
.FRIDAY...Southwest gales to 45 kt. Chance of rain showers in the
afternoon. Waves 10 to 14 ft occasionally to 18 ft.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...West gales to 40 kt becoming northwest to 30 kt
overnight. Chance of rain showers in the evening. Waves 8 to
12 ft occasionally to 16 ft subsiding to 5 to 8 ft occasionally
to 10 ft.
.SATURDAY...Northwest winds to 30 kt. Waves 4 to 7 ft
occasionally to 9 ft.
.SATURDAY NIGHT...Northwest winds 15 to 25 kt. Waves 4 to 6 ft
occasionally to 8 ft.
.SUNDAY...West winds 10 to 20 kt becoming southwest. Waves 2 to
4 ft.
.MONDAY...Southwest winds to 30 kt becoming south. Waves 4 to

MICHIGAN SOUTH 11610 12520 14530 11620. Waves 1 to 3 ft building
to 3 to 5 ft tonight and 4 to 6 ft occasionally to 8 ft subsiding
to 3 to 5 ft Thursday.
