1145 PM CDT FOR NORTHEASTERN COOK COUNTY...

AT 811 PM CDT...RADAR RAINFALL ESTIMATES INDICATE THAT BETWEEN THREE
QUARTERS OF AN INCH AND THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAD FALLEN ACROSS THE
ADVISORY AREA FROM PREVIOUS STORMS. SEVERAL REPORTS OF FLOODED
VIADUCTS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED. ANOTHER LINE
OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE ACROSS THE AREA LATE THIS EVENING...AND
MAY PRODUCE ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL AND RENEWED OR SUSTAINED
FLOODING.

NORTHERLY ISLAND.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE PONDING OF WATER IN
URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER
POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL
ACROSS FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES.
